Peter set out to earn his masters here, but riots burned and it all shut down.

Resilient, as ever, Peter joined the Diplomatic Corps, as a foreign service officer stationed in Warsaw. After his stint abroad he returned to San Francisco, intending to resume his studies, But his apartment had burned, and it was clear that San Fran just wasn't his scene anymore.

So Peter went back to Washington DC and got a job teaching at the new Federal City College (now the University of the District of Columbia), where he was a member of the communications arts department, teaching journalism and television.
